Ad ideas
Product video ad ideas that help your product sell
You made a great product. Now it has to stop a thumb mid-scroll. These product video ad ideas are built for small brands that sell online, in shops or both: drinks, snacks, home goods, gadgets, apparel, candles and more. Each one comes with a hook line for the first two seconds and the type of video that fits, with its flat price.
The best product video ads do one thing well. They show the product clearly, give one reason to want it, and tell people exactly where to buy. Keep that in mind as you pick.
Show-it-in-action product video ad ideas
Seeing is believing. These ideas let the product do the talking, using short clips or photos you take on your phone.
The pour, the click, the unbox
Open on the most satisfying moment: the can cracking open, the lid clicking shut, the box sliding apart.
- Hook: “Wait for the sound.”
- Best fit: Product showcase ($299)
Three ways to use it
One product, three quick uses, each with a one-line label. Great for anything versatile.
- Hook: “Three ways to use this you didn't think of.”
- Best fit: Product showcase ($299)
A day with your product
Morning, afternoon, evening. Show where it fits into a real routine.
- Hook: “Where this goes with me all day.”
- Best fit: Product showcase ($299)
Close-up details
Stitching, texture, the label, the bubbles. Slow, tight shots that show quality.
- Hook: “Look closer.”
- Best fit: Product showcase ($299)
Offer and launch ideas for product brands
Sometimes the message is simple: here is the deal, here is the date. Bold text and a clear end card do the work.
New flavor, new color, new drop
- Hook: “It's here. And it won't last.”
- Best fit: Quick promo ($199)
Back in stock
- Hook: “You asked. It's back.”

Problem and solution product ad ideas
People buy products that fix small, annoying problems. Name the problem in the first line and the viewer leans in.
The everyday annoyance
- Hook: “Tired of lids that leak in your bag?”
- Best fit: Spokesperson ad ($349)
Before you buy the cheap one
A friendly presenter explains what to look for in your product category, then shows how yours checks the boxes. Keep every comparison fair and true.
- Hook: “Three things to check before you buy a water bottle.”
- Best fit: Spokesperson ad ($349)
The gift problem
- Hook: “Stuck on what to get them? Start here.”
- Best fit: Quick promo ($199)
A note on presenters: a presenter speaks for your brand and is never presented as a real customer. Videos with realistic people are labeled as dramatizations. Your own phone clips show the product itself.
Brand story and character ideas
When lots of brands sell something similar, your story is the part nobody can copy.
Why we made it
You, on your own phone, telling the moment the idea hit.
- Hook: “I couldn't find one I liked, so I made it.”
- Best fit: Founder story ($449)
The kitchen-table beginning
A 3D animated, family-film style short about your first batch.
- Hook: “Batch one was a disaster. Batch forty was this.”
- Best fit: Animated founder story (from $999)
A mascot with a mission
Give your product a character fans remember and want to see again.
- Hook: “Meet the little guy who guards your snacks.”
- Best fit: Animated short ($999)

Tips for any product video ad
- Hook in two seconds. Lead with the moment, the problem or the offer. Our guide to video ad hooks has more opening lines.
- Show the real product. Your own clips and photos keep it honest and recognizable on the shelf.
- Captions always. Many people watch with the sound off, so every video includes captions.
- Vertical first. TikTok recommends 9:16 for in-feed ads, at least 540x960 (TikTok ad specs). Need square or wide for a website or marketplace? Add an extra size.
- Truthful claims only. Anything you say about what the product does must be true and backed up. The FTC's advertising guidance is a good read.
- One clear next step. Shop link, store name or offer on the end card. Just one.

Making product video ads yourself vs one flat price
You can build product ads yourself. It usually means a video generator app, a voice app, an editing app, a stock music library and a caption app. Published plans for each kind of tool commonly run from about $6 to $40 a month. One example stack of five monthly plans we priced in October 2026 came to about $116 a month, or about $1,392 a year, before extra credits. Then there are the evenings. Our breakdown of what DIY video ad tools really cost shows the full math.
A flat price flips it. You upload up to five short phone clips or photos and your logo, type a few lines about the product, and get back a finished 15 to 30-second product showcase with voiceover, on-screen text, music, captions, an end card with your offer and post text. It's ready in 3 business days, includes one revision, and you can post it on any channel for as long as you like. No shipping products, no filming crew.
