Product launch
How to launch a new product with video
You've spent months on the formula, the packaging, the supplier calls. Then launch day arrives and the post gets a handful of likes. It happens to a lot of small brands. If you want to launch a new product with video, the trick isn't one big video. It's a short series that builds curiosity, makes a splash on the day, and keeps selling after.
Here is a simple product launch video plan you can run in a few weeks, with the type of video that fits each step and its flat price.
Your product launch video plan in three phases
Think of a launch like a movie release: a teaser, a premiere, then the reviews and reruns. For a small brand that looks like this:
- Tease (1 to 2 weeks before): build curiosity without showing everything.
- Launch (the day and the week of): show the product clearly and tell people where to buy.
- Keep it going (the weeks after): show how to use it, tell your story and remind people.
You don't need ten videos. Three to five well-chosen ones can cover all three phases. Short vertical video works on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, so one set of files can go everywhere.
Phase 1: teaser videos before the launch
The goal is a little mystery and a date people can remember.
The countdown
Bold text, a silhouette or a close-up of the packaging, and the launch date.
- Hook: “Something new lands Friday.”
- Best fit: Text ad ($99)
Why we made it
Tell people the problem you set out to solve, in your own words, from your own phone. People root for a founder.
- Hook: “I spent a year on this. Here's why.”
- Best fit: Founder story ($449)
Join the list
If you have a waitlist or email sign-up, make that the one call to action.
- Hook: “Want it first? Get on the list.”
- Best fit: Quick promo ($199)
Phase 2: the launch day product video
This is the main event. Show the product, one reason to want it, and where to buy it, all in under 30 seconds.
The reveal
Built from your own phone clips: the box opening, the product in hand, the product in use. Voiceover, on-screen text, captions and an end card with your offer.
- Hook: “It's finally here.”
- Best fit: Product showcase ($299)
The launch offer
If you have a launch-week offer, a quick, bold promo gets it seen fast. Keep the offer real and the dates honest.
- Hook: “Launch week only. Here's what you get.”
- Best fit: Quick promo ($199)
A launch film people remember
For a bigger moment, a 3D animated, family-film style short can turn your product into a story with characters fans want to share.
- Best fit: Animated short ($999), ready in 7 business days
Write a strong opening line for each one. Our guide to video ad hooks has examples, and how to write a video ad script helps with the rest.
Phase 3: keep selling after launch week
Most launches fade because the posting stops. Keep the momentum with videos that answer the questions buyers still have.
- How to use it: a friendly presenter explains when and how, while your clips show the product. Spokesperson ad ($349).
- Three ways to use it: another product showcase from new clips.
- Now in stores or back in stock: a $99 Text ad.
- The story behind it: a 60-second animated brand story for your website and channel.

Launch timing: when to order each video
Work backward from launch day so nothing is a scramble.
- Animated films: order at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead. They take 7 business days, and you'll pick from 3 story concepts first.
- Teasers and the main product video: order 1 to 2 weeks ahead. Ads and reels take 3 business days, and you get one revision.
- Running late? Rush is +50%: ads and reels in 48 hours, films in 4 days.
- Need more sizes? Add a square (1:1) or wide (16:9) version for $49 for your website or marketplace listing.
A launch video can't promise sales, and claims about what your product does must be truthful and backed up. The FTC's advertising guidance is a helpful check before you post.
DIY launch videos vs one flat price
A launch week is the worst time to learn video software. Making it yourself usually means a video generator app, a voice app, an editing app, a stock music library and a caption app. Published plans for each kind of tool commonly run from about $6 to $40 a month. One example stack of five monthly plans we priced in October 2026 came to about $116 a month, or about $1,392 a year, before extra credits. With a flat price, you upload your clips, photos and logo, type a few lines, and get ready-to-post videos back. A simple launch set might be a $99 countdown, a $299 product showcase and a $199 launch-offer promo. Every video includes one revision, and you can post it on any channel for as long as you like.
