Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Storyhand Studio ("we", "us") collects through storyhandstudio.com, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to make your video and get paid, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
1. What we collect
- Your order details: your name, email address, business name, website or social page, the video and extras you chose, and your agreement to our Terms of Service.
- What you send us: your written brief, photos, logos, audio files, PDFs and any voice notes you record on the order page.
- Payment: payments are handled by Stripe. We see your name, email, the amount and whether the payment went through. We never see or store your full card number.
- Emails: anything you send to hello@storyhandstudio.com.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abuse.
We don't use analytics trackers, advertising pixels or tracking cookies on this site. Your microphone is used only while you're recording a voice note, after you press Start recording and allow it in your browser.
2. How we use it
- To make and deliver your video, and to contact you about it.
- To take payment, send receipts and keep business and tax records.
- To answer your questions.
We don't add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails unless you ask us to. The finished video may be shown as an example of our work, as explained in section 7 of our Terms of Service, unless you opt out by email. Your uploaded files, voice notes and brief are never shown publicly.
3. Who we share it with
We never sell your information or share it for advertising. We share it only with the services that help us run the studio, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and securely stores orders and uploaded files.
- Resend and our email provider, to send and receive order emails.
- Production tools we use to make your video, which receive only the material needed to make it.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your uploaded files and voice notes only as long as we need them for your video, and delete them no later than 12 months after delivery. We keep order and payment records for as long as tax law requires. Your finished video is kept so we can send you a new copy if you lose yours.
5. Your choices
You can email hello@storyhandstudio.com at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We'll reply within 30 days. We may need to keep payment records the law requires us to keep.
6. Security
Orders and files are sent over an encrypted connection and stored privately. Links to your files are signed so only we can open them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you send us.
7. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
